Abstract:

The report deals with the relationship of Z. Gippius with D. Filosofov and G. Adamovich. Relations with D. Filosofov began with mutual hostility, having gone through the stages of secular acquaintance and literary alliance and at its highest point led to the triple alliance of Z. Gippius, D. Merezhkovsky and D. Filosofov — one of the central phenomena in the history of Russian modernism, that had an unprecedented influence on various sides of the literary, social, philosophical and religious process of the early twentieth century. Echoes of the disputes between G. Adamovich and Z. Gippius, partially captured in their correspondence, can be found in the articles and verses of both poets and critics. G. Adamovich continued to consider Z. Gippius an outstanding person to the end.

  • Keywords: Gippius, Filosofov, Adamovich, triple union, epistolary.
