Abstract:
The article is devoted to the results of the academic project The Chronicle of the Life and Work of S.A. Esenin in 5 vol. (7 books) (2003–2018), the founder of which was Yu. L. Prokushev, and the prospects of work on The Esenin Encyclopedia. Special attention is paid to the new materials that were first introduced into scientific circulation and reflected in the Chronicle: the poet’s foreign trip to Europe, translations and perception of his poetry abroad etc. Attention is paid to the study of Esenin’s creative heritage as a national and world poet and relevant, littlestudied problems of preparing The Esenin Encyclopedia: revealing the innovation of Esenin’s poetics, the similarity and difference in the perception of his work abroad in Europe and Asia, the CIS countries and the Russian Federation, the study of real and literary toponyms, the connection between poetry and art.
