Abstract:

The work discusses the linguistic landscape of the city of Khorog, as well as the quality of the representation, in Russian and Tajik discourse, of the (micro)toponymic data of minority Iranian languages, in particular Shughnani. It describes current trends in (micro)toponymic nomenclature, as represented in maps of the region, as well as in written sources and fictional literature.
