Abstract:
In her monographical study Olga Ovcharenko analyses the main problems of Leonid Leonov’s literary work: characterology, the usage of implied meaning, the peculiarities of artistic method, the influence of classical literature, Dostoyevsky’s and Gorky’s in particular, gnosticism.Being the last literary stylist who prepared the first edition of Leonov’s novel “Pyramid”, the author reflects the personal impressions of the contacts with the writer.
