The volume presents studies, texts and notations of the most illustrative and original samples of Kalmyk, Buryat, and Mongolian folk songs. The scientific apparatus comprises introductory analytical articles discussing a history of their collecting and recording, as well as poetics of the genre, glossaries and notations. The appendix includes audio samples of folk songs of Mongolian peoples.
