Abstract:
The volume presents studies and texts of the most illustrative and original samples of Kalmyk, Buryat, and Mongolian minor genres of folklore. The scientific apparatus comprises introductory analytical articles discussing a history of their collecting and recording, as well as poetics of the genre, and glossaries. The edition appeals to folklorists, literary studies scholars, ethnographers, cultural studies experts, and to everyone who is interested in the traditional cultural heritage of the Mongolian-speaking peoples.
