Abstract: The article is devoted to further clarification of the history of criticism of the novella “For Future Use,” namely, the history of writing the article “About a Kulak Chronicle,” published under the name of A.A. Fadeev. New archival materials allow us to assume that the final version of the article was probably substantially finalized by Fadeev’s colleagues from the Russian Association of Proletarian Writers on his behalf. The article also examines parallels in the publication history of the novella “For Future Use” and the story “Doubting Makar.” The appendix contains an article “About a Kulak Chronicle,” representing its early text by dynamic transcription.

  • Keywords: Andrey Platonov, Fadeev, “For Future Use,” “About a Kulak Chronicle,” “Doubting Makar.”
