Information about the author:

Antonina G. Grek (Lugansk, 09.07.1952 – Moscow, 12.11.2021), Linguist, DSc in Philology, Specialist in the Language of Literary Text.

Abstract:

The article is devoted to some contexts in Blok’s Diary of 1917. The focus is on the fragments reflecting Blok’s work as a literary editor of the Investigation Commission. Analysis of records of conversations, reading newspapers, rumours, as well as records of natural-atmospheric type expands the understanding of the language and stylistic preferences of the author. These observations contribute to the reconstruction of Blok’s personality as a poet, man, and citizen.

Keywords: Diary, context, verbatim, report, conversation, stylistic layers, evaluation, symbols, reality, image of the author.
