Abstract:
The article deals with the need to systematize all available materials, namely, the stories of the storytellers themselves — about storytelling and storytellers. The relevance of such a study is dictated by the fact that when presenting information about the work of Altai storytellers, the information is limited, and approaches to their systematization have not been defined. But such work contributes not only to the comprehensive identification of the performance of Altai legends as a whole, taking into account the early periods of fixation of epic texts, but also to clarifying the epic context of the work of famous Altai rhapsodes against the background of the newly identified materials. The goals and objectives of the study focus on the need for an intragenre systematization of information about the practice of storytellers, taking into account textual and field materials recorded from the storytellers themselves. The main conclusions and results of the study signify an attempt to take a systemic approach to narratives of storytellers that are available through publications and field observations.
