Abstract:
This article introduces for the first time in Literary studies the review of V.F. Pereverzev’s book «Dostoyevsky’s Works. Critical Essay» (Moscow, 1912) by N.G. Ljvova, an unknown Silver Century poet. The young critic, judging by the review, shows profound understanding of Dostoevsky and remarks that the sociological approach, offered by Pereverzev, is not applicable to the works of Dostoevsky. Not only Lvova’s review, offered in this article, but all of her poetical and literary-critical works show her huge talent that had no time to develop fully due to her untimely tragic death in 1913.
