Abstract:
The article attempts to describe the work and poetics of Heiner Müller, one of the most significant German playwrights of the second half of the 20th century. The article of Vladimir Koljazin, who was friends with the playwright for many years, is written in the form of memoirs and notes about their meetings both in Germany and in Russia. Besides the phenomenon of Heiner Müller’s theater, this paper considers the problem of translation of his plays into Russian and the publication of a collection of his works.
