Abstract:
This article presents a comparative analysis of Mikhail Prishvin’s “Kladovaya Solntsa” (“The Treasure Trove of the Sun”) and the diary entries the writer kept during the war. By referring to Prishvin’s diaries, the article establishes the connection between “The Treasure Trove of the Sun” and Easter experiences, tracing how they influenced the evolution of the fairy tale narrative. The article explores how the names of the characters, spatial and temporal references, and symbolic details are linked to the Easter theme, and how the title and genre designation of “The Treasure Trove of the Sun” relate to Prishvin’s religious quests.
