Abstract:
The article aims to provide the analysis and interpretation of the story “The Treasure Trove of the Sun” in the context of Prishvin’s diaries, considering previous research on the philosophical implications of Prishvin and his creative method. The writer’s diary notes concerning the story suggest that apart from being integrated into the system of official Soviet literature, it also sums up Prishvin’s experience in unconventional prose. Moreover, it can be seen as Prishvin’s first approach to making a crucial literary statement in the dialog with the Soviet state. “The Treasure Trove of the Sun” for the first time consistently reveals to the reader the author’s philosophy, synthesizing all his spiritual and intellectual experience, mainly the experience of god-seeking, where the god is considered the absolute basis of the world harmony, that attains by paying attention to the Constitutive Other.
