Abstract:

The Great Patriotic War became a significant part of the artistic world of Nogai literature. The war hero emerged as a separate type in the character system of the second half of the 20th century. An analysis of the works of F.A. Abdulzhalilov, S.I. Kapaev, H.E. Bairashev and others made it possible to identify features characteristic of this type, which may seem mutually exclusive. It is at once national and international, exceptional and replaceable. His life strives for death, but this death ensures his recognition and immortality. To some extent, all the positive characters in Nogai military literature, primarily of Socialist Realism, correspond to the stated type, but for full realization they need to perform a feat, the moment of which is depicted in particular detail. The hero’s life is aimed at self-sacrifice, and the one who performs the most significant feat within the framework of the work almost always dies, but his death affects the further development of the war. This article contributes to the development of typology of characters in Nogai literature.
