Abstract:
The article describes the work of Z.I. Grzhebin Publishing House in Germany. The work was not favored by the negative attitude towards it of a significant part of the emigrants who considered Grzhebin and Gorky agents of the Soviet government. But Moscow did not favor the publishing house. It particularly disliked the series «Chronicle of the Revolution». In Berlin, the publishing house decided to publish a magazine with the same name. The first issue was published in January 1923. Moscow reacted to this by banning the importation into Russia of books by the Publishing House of Z.I. Grzhebin and opening a criminal case. However, the publishing house continued its activities and stopped working only in 1924, and not in 1923, as stated in a number of reference books.
