The article reveals the creative portrait of Larisa Genyush, who occupies a significant place in the Belarusian literature of the 20th century. The characteristic of her poetry is given. The translations of a number of poems by L. Genyush made by the author of the study are presented. Particular attention is paid to the diary of the poetess “Confession,” which was published as a separate book in 1993. “Confession” is an important evidence of the life of L. Geniyush. It reflects the views of its author on various phenomena of life, literature, the work of Belarusian writers, with whom fate brought the poetess on the paths and paths of life.
