Abstract:

The article focuses on the experience of staging Notes from Underground by Serbian prisoners under the leadership of M. Kovačević. This project was supposed to demonstrate the willingness of the community to participate in the rehabilitation of prisoners and their return to the social environment. The article proves that when preparing the production, M. Kovačević used the concept of theatrocracy by N. Evreinov and the ideas expressed by M. Foucault in the book Discipline and Punish.

  • Keywords: F.M. Dostoevsky, Notes from Underground, reception, Serbia, N. Evreinov, M. Foucault.
