Abstract

Based on the analysis of “documents of personal origin”, the article outlines some of the features of the dacha-estate topos “Russian Finland”. Attention is focused on the dacha-estate topos, “created” by a creative personality. Accordingly, it is con ceived not only as a realization of the concept of comfort for life and work, but also as an opportunity to express some kind of “topos of a dream”. The article is based on observations concerning Leonid Andreev’s dacha “White Night.”
