Abstract:
The collective monograph is devoted to the little-studied period of A.M. Gorky's life and creative work in Germany (1921–1923). The main authors are participants of the project Russian Science Foundation (No. 21-18-00131), as well as specially invited scientists and experts on the subject. The structure of the book reflects many aspects in the study of the heritage of the writer, whose authority in Germany was extremely high. This chronicles the life and work of Gorky, the publication of his works in Germany, Gorky and journalism, Gorky and German literature, Gorky and German theater, Gorky and German philosophy, the surroundings of Gorky in Germany, etc. The publication is intended for philologists, readers interested in Gorky's legacy, Russian literature, emigration and Russian-German cultural ties.
