Abstract:
The poem by Vyacheslav Ivanov in German, titled “Geschenks- Widmung” (1934), dedicated to his “companion on the spiritual path”, O.A. Shor, is examined by the publisher in the context of other messages, dedications, and epigrams that the poet addressed to the same person. The biographical subtext of this donation inscription and at the same time the epigram is explained: the history of the nickname “Flamingo”, Olga Alexandrovna’s engagement with German philosophy in her youth, and possibly Ivanov’s dissatisfaction with Shor’s delay in completing her philosophical work “Mnemology”.
