Abstract:
The chapter reveals the phenomenon of landscape in the poetic work of S.A. Esenin. The author explores the uniqueness of this landscape, which lies in the fact that Esenin’s lyrical hero lives in the landscape, and is its subject. He endows nature with his feelings and moods, and it becomes a catalyst for his poetic meditation. Esenin’s landscapes convey the deep essence of the national world. Many of them have a calming effect, heal, harmonize the soul with their integrity and indivisibility. In the art therapy of Esenin’s landscapes color, which has an emotional and aesthetic impact on the reader, also plays a great role. With the help of color, the Russian poet created his country — “blue Rus”, and it became a cultural code. A separate plot of the chapter is the connection of the landscape space with the sacred space of the icon and its “artistic” animation. Particular attention is paid to the poetics of Esenin’s landscape, its evolution, and different genres and types of landscape. The study showed that the semantics and poetics of Esenin’s landscapes are determined by many factors, which must be taken into account when studying them.
