Abstract:

The article presents the experience of an analytical review of materials that appeared on the pages of the newspaper Novoe Vremya which related to literature. The first part of the article presents a wide range of assessments of the Novoe Vremya and the personality of A.S. Suvorin in the materials of his personal correspondence, memoirs of contemporaries, as well as in the later scientific literature. The second part focuses on the results of the annotated paintings of newspaper issues in 1900, exploring a variety of topics and genres, as well as the materials in which they were published.
