Abstract:

On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution the Gorky Museum faced the challenge of formalizing an exhibition related to this jubilee theme. Undoubtedly, the mythological theme “Gorky — Petrel of the Revolution” has long been rooted in the public consciousness, therefore, when searching for the main artistic concept of the exhibition, the main principles were formulated-based on art collections from the museum’s funds, to present materials not in the traditional historical and documentary manner, but in addition this, and in artistic-figurative.
