Abstract:

The article highlights the Armenian patriotic poetry, which has a long tradition and reflects the value facet of the Armenian identity. The abundance of works by Armenian poets of the early twentieth century dedicated to the motherland, historical destinies and the catastrophic events of the late 19 — early 20 century, caused by beatings organized by Sultan Abdul Hamid, which claimed the lives of more than 300 thousand Armenians; when, in fact, the beginning of the state program of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire was initiated. The works of Siamanto, Ruben Sevak, Daniel Varuzhan were largely a response to these events
