Abstract:
This work presents the first version of an extensive commentary on M.A. Sholokhov’s novel “The Soil Upturned.” The preamble defines and substantiates the foundational positions that underpin the system of principles necessary for ensuring the effectiveness of the process of developing an academic commentary. The main part of the commentary consists of motivated explanations of meanings, as well as the purposes and ways of using verbalphraseological structures in the text of the work.
