Abstract:
A.P. Platonov is one of the unique writers in the history of Russian literature of the 20th century. His unique style attracts scholars from all over the world, and sometimes creates insurmountable difficulties for translation into foreign languages. The purpose of the work is to briefly describe the reception of A.P. Platonov’s works in China. The stated goal presuppose the following tasks to analyze the current state and trends in the study of A.P. Platonov’s work in China, as well as the adequacy and inadequacy of Chinese translations of his works. The objects of the study are the works of Chinese philologists dedicated to the life and work of Platonov. The article examines “The World of A.P. Platonov: The Search for the Meaning of Individual and Holistic Existence” (Dan Xuan, 2009), “Study of the Female Image in the Works of A.P. Platonov from the Standpoint of Existentialism” (Wu Wenjing, 2017), etc. The author comes to the conclusion that Chinese studies of the works of A.P. Platonov are not comprehensive, which creates a lot of scope for translations of works and studies of the works of Platonov.
