Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the image of the estate in the reminiscence discourse. It is shown that the conceptual core of the concept of “estate” has been preserved from the most ancient era, it is a separate, intimate place, abode. This value corresponds to the image of the estate in the memoirs of Russian authors of the XIX century and the turn of the XIX–XX centuries. The examples forming a reminiscent text that allows us to trace the semantic dominants actualized by the authors — the transformation of the image of the estate over time, changing ideas about the order of things in the world, the destruction of the image of the abode.

  • Keywords: estate, reminiscent discourse, image, abode, semantic dominants, transformation.
