Abstract:
The article is devoted to the Museum component of the study of life and work of M. Gorky. Museums contribute to the visual and accessible development of history. It is a national treasure that binds historical memory and forms the moral climate in which generations live and are brought up. The basis of the Gorky Museum exhibition is based on the chronological principle. Gorky influenced the formation of new trends of Russian culture in literature, theater, painting. Gorky as a Museum person allows to tell about significant stages of national history. The Moscow Museum holds numerous evidence of Gorky’s participation in the social life of the twentieth century: photographs, documents, paintings, drawings, newspaper clippings. The scale of the personality of the writer, the diversity of the collections of the Gorky Museum and the architectural originality of the literary and memorial exhibitions offer great opportunities for the Museum space and all kinds of educational activities.
