Abstract:
For the first time, the final unfinished work of L.D. Zinovieva-Annibal, the dramatic mystery “The Great Bell” is published based on a manuscript from the Roman archive of Vyacheslav Ivanov. A little-known or unpublished correspondence of the Ivanov family is used to reconstruct the history of its creation. One of the keys to interpretation is found in Vera Shvarsalon’s diary from 1908, which helps clarify one of the main religious symbols of the drama.
