Abstract:

The 4th issue of the collective work Alexey Tolstoy: Dialogues with Time, which presents a wide range of scientific research by both domestic and foreign philologists and historians, is dedicated to the writer’s 140th anniversary celebrated in 2023. In the articles attention is paid not only to the intermediate results of the study of various periods of A.N. Tolstoy’s life and work as well as the problems associated with them, but also to new directions for further research in this field. The Appendix contains a writer’s never-before-published play The Day of Ryapolovsky (1912). The publication is intended to philologists, as well as to everyone interested in the history of the 20th century Russian literature and the creativity of A.N. Tolstoy.
